Asked most often
How do I get my data out?
In the web app, Settings → Data → Export everything. You get one JSON file with every capture, task, note, checklist, habit, countdown and learned fact, plus download links for your audio and attachments. Those links expire after an hour, so save the files when you open them. On iPhone and Android the same row opens the web app.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent. Full instructions, including what happens if you no longer have the app, are on the deletion page.
I forgot my password.
Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen. If you originally signed up with Google or Apple, you don’t have a password at all — use the same button you used the first time.
I cancelled my subscription but I still have access.
That is expected. Cancelling stops the renewal; you keep everything you paid for until the end of the current period. Nothing else changes in the meantime.
Can I get a refund?
If you subscribed on iPhone or Android, Apple and Google handle refunds and we cannot issue one on their behalf — request it through your Apple ID or Google Play order history. If you subscribed on the web, email billing and we will sort it out.
The transcript got a word wrong.
Speech-to-text is best-effort, and it struggles most with names, jargon and heavy background noise. Every transcript is editable, and correcting one does not disturb the original recording. If a particular word is wrong every single time, send it to support — that is useful to us.
Notifications aren’t arriving.
Check that notifications are allowed for Unload Thoughts in your phone’s system settings — a permission denied once is not asked for again. If they are allowed and still silent, sign out and back in on that device, which re-registers it, then email support if it persists.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. We do not train models on your content, and our AI provider does not train on data sent through its API. The detail is in the privacy policy.
When you email about a bug, telling us which device you were on and roughly when it happened turns a day of guessing into ten minutes of reading logs. Read the privacy policy or the terms for the formal versions of any of this.
