The whole agreement, in a paragraph

What you write stays yours; we only get the permission needed to run the app for you. The AI is a helpful draft, not an authority, so check anything that matters. Be decent with the service, pay for it if you subscribe, and leave whenever you want — deletion needs no permission from us.

The agreement

These terms are the agreement between you and Sit Wiz LLC (“Sit Wiz”, “we”, “us”), the company that operates Unload Thoughts, and they cover the app, this website, and everything we offer through them. Using any of it means you accept them. If you do not, don’t use the service — and if you already have an account, you can delete it at any time from Settings.

Your account

You need an account to use the app, you must be at least 13 years old to have one, and you must give us an email address that actually reaches you — it is how we reset your password and tell you about changes that matter. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and we are not able to recover an account you have lost access to if the email address on it no longer works.

What you write stays yours

Your captures, and everything made from them, belong to you. We claim no ownership over them. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, to send it to the processors listed in the privacy policy so it can be transcribed and sorted, and to show it back to you on your devices. That permission ends when you delete the content or the account. We do not use your content to train models, and we do not publish it, sell it, or show it to anyone else.

What the AI produces

Transcription and sorting are best-effort. The app will sometimes mishear a word, propose a task you did not mean, or get a date wrong — that is why suggestions land in a review step instead of being filed silently. Treat what the AI produces as a draft, not as fact, and don’t rely on it alone for anything medical, legal, financial or otherwise consequential. You are responsible for checking anything that matters before you act on it.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Unload Thoughts to break the law, to store or generate material that sexually exploits children, to harass or threaten anyone, or to infringe someone else’s rights. Don’t try to break into other accounts, scrape the service, resell access to it, or deliberately overload it. We can suspend or close an account that does any of these, and for the serious ones we will do it without notice.

Subscriptions, billing and refunds

Some features require a paid subscription. Where you bought it decides who bills you and who cancels it.
  • On iPhone or iPad — Apple bills you and Apple handles cancellation and refunds, through your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting your Unload Thoughts account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
  • On Android — Google bills you, and cancellation and refunds go through Google Play. Deleting your account does not cancel a Play subscription.
  • On the web — the subscription is billed through our payment provider. Email billing@unloadthoughts.com to cancel it, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting your account does not cancel it.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Prices can change, but never for a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a change applies to you.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service up, but we don’t promise it will never be down, and we do occasionally take it offline to maintain it. Features get added, changed and sometimes removed. If we remove something you depend on, or shut the service down entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and enough time to export your data.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like — Settings → Danger zone → Delete account, or the instructions here if you no longer have the app. It takes effect immediately and it cannot be undone, so export first if you want a copy. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms; unless the breach makes it unsafe to wait, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow that, in which case this section applies to you only as far as it legally can.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for lost data beyond our obligation to keep reasonable backups. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Sit Wiz LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts there have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim in your local courts.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms from time to time. When a change materially affects your rights, we will update the effective date and tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms; if you would rather not, you can export your data and delete your account.
